Hurst Construction originated in the early 1960's by M. B. Hurst. He did some of the first cable plowing in the state of Texas. In 1966, his son Jack Hurst joined the company. Then in 1971 Jack's brother, Terry Hurst became part of the company, after graduating from ETSU with a degree in Construction Technology. This created Hurst Brothers Company that was incorporated in 1981. After seven years of spouse involvement, Karen Hurst and Kim Hurst acquired the stock options to create a Certified Texas Hispanic Minority Woman Owned Telecommunications Company. |
Recent involvement of Jack's son continues the family tradition. In conclusion, Hurst Brothers Company, Inc. is a company that has placed and spliced hundreds of miles of both aerial and buried, copper and fiber optics cables in several states and through all kinds of ground conditions. |
